Advitech is proud to congratulate Lilly Großstück, Senior Structural and Civil Engineer, on being recognised as an outstanding nominee in the Engineers Australia Emerging Professional Engineer of the Year Award at the 2026 Engineers Australia Newcastle Excellence Awards, held at Newcastle City Hall last night.
The award celebrates engineers who are making a meaningful contribution to their communities, advancing the profession, and delivering innovative engineering outcomes that improve society. It recognises professionals whose work contributes to the wellbeing of people and communities, demonstrates creativity and ingenuity, promotes the engineering profession, and reflects a significant contribution to engineering.
Since joining Advitech in 2020, Lilly has built a reputation for technical excellence, collaborative leadership and a commitment to helping others succeed.
Among her many achievements is her work on the Parkes Radio Telescope, innovative mining projects, mentoring and STEM outreach, and community focused engineering initiatives.
Being recognised as an outstanding nominee represents another significant milestone in a career that continues to go from strength to strength.

The Newcastle Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding engineering achievements across the region. Local category winners will go on to represent Newcastle at the Engineers Australia Excellence Awards Gala Dinner 2026, to be held at Melbourne Town Hall on Thursday 12 November, while achievement award recipients are recognised as national winners in their respective categories.
