Novecom was thrilled to receive a winner’s trophy at the NSW Mining Industry & Suppliers Awards held in Sydney on 20 November 2014.
As winners in the ‘Small Business Achievement’ category, Novecom was recognised for the development of QuattroSound, a directional noise monitoring system that enables mine operators to understand their contribution to the noise environment, as well as the cumulative noise contribution from other competing sources.
The award acknowledged the most important aspect of QuattroSound’s development – namely, Novecom’s unwavering commitment to partnering with its customers to ensure QuattroSound would meet the needs and challenges the mining industry faces on a daily basis.
Manager of Novecom, Jeremy Pola, said “Novecom has at its core the aspiration to be a leader in advanced technology. Our industry and the minerals industry will only advance by creating niche solutions that are smarter and more efficient. This will be achieved through both human and intellectual resources working within a vibrant culture of innovation.”
Novecom is part of the Hunter-based Advitech Group, a collective of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and environmental companies providing innovative consulting and manufacturing solutions.
NSW Minerals Council CEO Stephen Galilee said of the award winners: “These businesses have demonstrated the value that they provide to our mining operations and I congratulate them. Major suppliers like Quarry Mining and small businesses like Novecom are great examples of mining supplier businesses making an important contribution to our industry and our state.”
