2024 off to a great start for Acubis

Remote communications company Acubis has a new leader. Jeff Berg was promoted to General Manager earlier this year in recognition of his experience and contribution to the company.

Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the IT networking and wireless communications sector including design, support, project management and business management.

Jeff started with Acubis in March 2020 as the Operations Manager and oversaw extraordinary company growth, expanding the business from Queensland into NSW and WA while nearly tripling the size of the workforce.

Moving into the General Manager role in early 2024 was a natural progression, building on his previous experiences to continue to lead Acubis into the future.

Acubis trailers ready for deliveryAcubis has already been busy this year, designing and installing communications equipment and infrastructure to mines across Queensland and NSW.

In February, Acubis completed a $7M+ project upgrading the Operational Technology (OT) networks across three different mines in Queensland for one of its larger mining customers.  The project supplied Rajant Mesh Radios, Cambium PtMP 450 & PTP 850 Links, Cisco Switches and 30+ Briteforce RF Repeater Trailers to support their FMS and various systems used in the field.

The Acubis team also installed a new rapid-deployment communications platform with integrated power for a mining company in NSW last week. This 30 metre Relocatable Tower provides the mine with full communications coverage and allows flexibility for future development of the mine site.
