Emergent Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Acton to the newly created position of Managing Director of Acubis.
Chris will be well-known to many as General Manager of Acubis, a position he has held since June 2018.
Steven Smith, Managing Director of Emergent Group said the promotion of Chris to this new role is in recognition of the excellent work he has done with Acubis, particularly his development of a solid client base and the subsequent growth of the company.
“We’re very confident that Chris will continue to develop important client relationships and that Acubis will continue to provide industry-leading communications technologies and services in Queensland and beyond,” said Steven.
Chris has recently been expanding the operations of Acubis into other parts of Australia, by establishing a base in Perth, Western Australia and appointing new staff in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
With the expansion of Acubis across Australia, Chris has also recruited a new Business Development Manager, Richard Doyle.
Richard joined the Acubis team in December to assist clients in identifying the best technology solutions for their remote communications requirements.
Richard has a rich background in Information Technology and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). In the mining sector, he began working on conveyer systems and other controllers. He went on to find his niche in communications systems.
Richard will be based in the NSW Hunter region but will travel often to meet with clients across Australia.
